Burna Boy has entered the Shatta Wale controversy that has been raging for the last few days.
“Do you know that most people in Ghana’s music industry are fools,” he boasted as he packed the country’s largest stadium for a concert.
My stadium will not be able to accommodate all of my fans,” I was told.
To me, my fans are more important than any “stupid Nigerian artiste.”
Fuck Nigeria,” he retorted.
There has been an online debate about the comment, but Shatta Wale remains unmoved, while others like Stonebwoy and Wizkid have taken a more peaceful approach.
Shatta Wale said that “as for Nigerians, they think they can always say what they want to say” in response to their criticism of him.
It’s time to “fuck your talk ya’ll who think I spoke the truth this, I don’t remember you guys promoting Ghanaian artiste until u guys will realize your artiste blow in Ghana to say thank you… F,” he tweeted.
To paraphrase him, “bring it on and your artiste will not receive the same hype they get from Ghana…
There is a way to stop that.
I wouldn’t dare you…
Actually, your artist does come here for numbers before they’re widely known.
Stop this foolishness and thank Ghana for supporting your artist.”
Burna Boy has just entered the fray, stating that he is willing to go head-to-head with Shatta Wale.
It is a grave disservice to the next generation and goes against everything I stand for as a man and an unapologetic pan-Africanist to push this agenda of separation between our beautiful African Nations.”
“If Shatta or anyone has a personal problem with me. I’m here to help.” he wrote in a post on his Instagram story.
To maintain the unity we are constantly trying to build for a stronger and better Africa, nobody will ruin the openness I’ve always had to fight 1 on 1 and squash it afterwards.
In Ghana, songs from South Africa and the United Kingdom are also played, but Shatta Wale only has issues with Nigerian music, according to Burna Boy.
